I'm looking for any descendants of or connections to Dr George Washington Calwell, who lived in Glen Hope and was one of the early doctors in that town, as well as being involved in the sawmilling industry. He died there in October 1885. George W Calwell had a total of 12 children with two wives, but it is believed that only 3 of his children married and had children themselves. Daughter Jane Calwell married William Millard McCoy, Son Daniel McGrew Calwell married Sarah L Hallman, and daughter Sarah Anne Calwell married William Robert D i c kinson.
I am also wondering if anyone can tell me whether or not the "Caldwell Memorial Park" in Glen Hope was named after the doctor. Although his name was Calwell, not Caldwell, these names are often confused, and indeed the name Caldwell was engraved on his tombstone at Hegarty XRoads Cemetery, a few miles outside the town. The 'd' has subsequently been chiselled out, but it seems likely that he had to live (and die) with this error in the spelling of his name.
Any contact or information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I don't have info on the doctor, but I have info on William Milliard McCoy who was married to daughter Jennie. My family tree is public on Ancestry- named Molzen/Nelson family tree. Would appreciate if you have any other info. Good luck in your search.
