I am looking for information on the Erie Turnpike in the early 1800's. I see there was a publication titled: "An Historical Sketch of the Old Erie Turnpike Commemorating the One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of this Pioneer Thoroughfare through Clearfield County." by Joseph A. Daque, Jr. in cooperation with the Clearfield County Historical Society. I am hoping someone can tell me the route of this turnpike.

I'm not certain of the entire original route, but a section of it still exists - the "Old Erie Pike" runs from route 879 between Curwensville and Clearfield through to West Decatur.
