Years ago, Boardman and Kellytown (in Know Township) were prosperous towns with movie theaters, churches, grocery stores, etc. The town of Boardman literally burned down to what it is today. I am looking for any photos of both areas before the fire. Please contact me if you know of any: Kpollick@state.pa.us or pollkat@atlanticbb.net. Thanks for the help.

Actually, we are in the process of republishing the history of Bloody Knox, which includes a history of Kellytown and Boardman, including pictures. Cost will be $5. Should have at the museum in 3 weeks.

Cathie: Thanks so much for the information on the new Bloody Knox publication coming out! I'm exited to purchase a copy!!!! I too am interested in photos of Boardman. My granddad, Vern Cross, moved to Boardman in 1890 at the age of 5 after his parents and baby sister died of typhoid fever in Gazzam. He was raised by his grandma, Anna Dailey Robison in Boardman. I heard many stories from my grandma about Boardman being a booming town when my granddad lived there and have been interested in seeing pictures of the area during that time period. I have asked numerous people if they knew of any pictures and never could find anyone who had some. If anyone else has pics, my e-mail address is: ncross1261@peoplepc.com thanks!

does anyone know when the Bloody Knox re-print will be available for purchase through the historical society? I posted the question here and also sent Cathie an e-mail, but so far haven't received any response to either. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Nancy: I have some Robison's in my genealogy, though I don't have Anna Dailey Robison. I do have vern cross, but no wife. Lots of children listed. Not much else about them. I have an Elizabeth, an Emma, a Martha and a Nehemiah. Plus a lot with no first names. I grew up in Boardman, but don't personally know any of the names you listed.
